 Games List
Joining A Game
To get into an Evernight game, you must first find an open game. Select the Games List button to the right, then click on the Join A Game tab. All available games will be listed here. To join one of these games, just click on the Join button next to the game's listing. NOTE: In the first week of your 30-day free trial period, you will only be able to join the tutorial game. After a week, you will be able to join 1 additional game. If you decide to pay for the game, you will be allowed to join 8 games at once.
Browsing a Game
To browse a game you are not playing, click on the Browse button next to the game name. Browsing allows you to view the action within a game, but doesn't permit you to make any moves yourself. You also do not have the ability to send or receive email or post to newsgroups within the game.
Registering/Unregistering from a Game
Some games will not be immediately available to join. Instead, they will have a Waiting List. Players will add themselves to the waiting list by "Registering" for that game. Once the waiting list has filled up, the game will be available to join, but only for those players on the waiting list. Players may remove themselves from the waiting list (at any time prior to the list filling up) by "Unregistering" from the game.
Game Over
Games that have finished will automatically remove themselves from your games list after one week.

 Top Players
Top Players
Evernight players are ranked by title based on performance in past games. Each game starts with a purse of Experience. This Experience is divided between the top allegiances (or teams) when the game ends according to the percentages found in the chart above. The leader of these allegiances then have the option of splitting that Experience to their followers as they see fit. Players also generally receive 2 Experience just for finishing the game with at least one region, or 4 Experience for surviving AND having the same religion as the player who ended the game.

Changing Your Password
Evernight allows you to change your password at anytime. To change your password, just enter your old password and new password (entered twice) into the spaces provided and press "Change Password." Once changed, you will need to use the new password to log into Evernight.
Changing Your Game Settings
You can customize Evernight to work better with your monitor size and/or internect connection speed. The following list details what options are available to be modified and what each of them signifies:
Map Width & Height The width & height (in pixels) of the game map. Setting these values to lower numbers will mean that less data is downloaded with each map, but more map downloads will be required to view your empire. Setting to a higher value will have the opposite effect. NOTE: if you set these values too high, the Eastern and Southern map navigation arrows may not be visible.
Show Empire Borders If selected, each player's Empire on the game map will be outlined by a thicker black line - making it easier to determine where one player's empire ends and another begins (especially if both players are marked in the same color).
Connection Speed If set to Medium, then the game map will be displayed with less detail, reducing it's download time somewhat. If set to Slow, the game map will have less detail, and several non-essential images throughout the game will not be sent to you.
Player Level If set to Beginner, the player will receive an informational email at the start of each new game.
Default View Settings You can specify the initial settings of your default for every game here so that you do not have to keep changing them for every new game you join.
Receive Game Open Emails Select Yes if you would like Evernight to email you when a game you have signed up for is full and about to start.
Receive Tick Emails Select Yes if you would like Evernight to email you after each tick occurs in games that you are playing.
Receive VR1 Emails Select Yes if you would like to receive emails from VR1 regarding Evernight and other VR1 games.

NOTE: Changing your Default View settings will only affect new games that you join after making the change. All games you are currently playing will be unaffected. To change the Default View in a specific game, go into the game and set up the map the way you want your Default View to be, and Save the view as "Default View". This will overwrite the existing Default View.

Changing Your Personal Information
Your Email Address may not be changed directly by you, but you may send us a request to change it. Simply go to the Feedback section of the Lobby and fill out the form there. Be sure to include what you would like your new Email Address to be. If the new value is not already in use by another player, your info will be changed.

 Lobby Help
What Is Evernight?
Evernight is a game that pits you against hundreds of other players in a quest to control the world. The world is filled with a vast number of conquerable regions. As a new player, you begin with a single region, but by deploying your forces and launching attacks on other regions and players, your empire can grow larger and larger. The objective is to control as many regions as possible at the end of the game, and to crush or coerce anyone that stands in your way.
Playing The Game
In-Game Help is available by clicking on the Tome of K'Ar Tuf or Help links located above the map. The Help section gives information on how to play Evernight, and contains non-game-specific information. You can get a printable copy of this Help file by clicking here. The Tome of K'Ar Tuf lists stats and descriptions for all the entities within each game. Since this information can change from game to game, it can only be accessed from within a game.
